Student supply list
• Sewing machine with free motion (darning) foot – make sure that your machine is oiled and that you have tried out the free motion before coming to class. Read the instructions on how to adjust the top tension for free motion. (Bring your instruction book to class if necessary.)
• Scraps of cotton fabric (if you have some) 10” and smaller; in cheerful tone-on-tone and small prints. There will be some scraps available in class to work with as well and we can share. See photo below for examples of suitable fabric patterns.
***Scraps should be ironed and sorted into colors before bringing.
• Two #12 sewing needles
• All-purpose thread:
Spools – black, white, medium brown, yellow, medium green; assorted colors
Bobbins- black, white, plus medium gray or brown
• Fabric scissors + straight pins
• Small paper bag for garbage
• Pencil + several pages of blank scrap paper
• Short extension cord
• Coffee mug or water bottle (coffee available); Lunch (fridge available)
• Class fee of $10 (cash only) if you have not already paid
