Instructor: Greta Holt
This scrappy throw uses an “assembly line” method for piecing a 7 1⁄2” Half Log Cabin block that has lots of design potential. No two blocks are alike. You will begin with an assortment of Light and Dark prints cut in 2” strips from selvage to selvage. Contrast is important. (This would make a great Christmas-themed project using Christmas colors!)
The process/pattern has been adjusted to make a size that you will be able to complete by Christmas.
This is an opportunity to have fun with the layout. In class, we will look at the layout options and you may be surprised how each quilt will have a unique quality.

Bio - Greta Holt
I was introduced to a variety of ‘fiber’ arts at an early age (crochet, knit, embroidery, tatting, etc.) that I learned from Mom and my Granny who also quilted. I did not take up quilting until 2000, when Granny passed, and I inherited some of her stash. Then, using reference books, I jumped into quilting.
When I discovered Wineberries in Surrey, I bought fabric and took most of the classes they offered.
Since moving to Oliver, I joined Double O Quilters where I continue to learn new techniques and skills by taking part in many of the Guild’s workshops, taking online courses and the inspiration of other Guild members.
